Wealth managers Salisbury Private Clients hosted a James Bond themed event for their clients. For the invitation, we reimagined their logo as a wisp of gun-smoke emanating from the barrel of a recently discharged Walther PPK.
Although confined to a single side of card, the invite tells a story as it’s opened, revealing a meticulously illustrated pistol and the event details.
These Christmas cards are part of a broader series of typographic illustrations made at Jog where faces are made from typefaces. Characters can be entirely recoloured and they can also be rotated, resized or reflected. But beyond that no there is no further manipulation. Some of the most interesting results come through using the fewest number of characters.
